With the diesel engine, your 2020 GMC Sierra 2500HD will provide you with up to 27,500 lbs of towing capacity. This pickup also offers drivers an all-new 6.6L gasoline V8 engine. Offering 401 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque, this engine provides an 11 percent increase in horsepower and a 22 percent increase in peak torque compared to the previous 6.0L gas engine. The 6.6L gasoline V8 is paired with the 6L90 six-speed automatic transmission. This engine allows your 2020 GMC SierraHD to tow up to 24,000 lbs.
