My appointment was for an oil change at 3 & I dropped my truck. I was told by Lenny that I would get a call when it was done. At 5:30 I text the number that I received a text from saying that I could get updates. No response. At 6:15, I had to get an Uber to get back to the dealership so I called & was told it was done. This is unacceptable.

I made an appointment bc my service engine light was on and it was scheduled as an oil change. I had to scramble to make arrangements to then leave my car. It took 4 days, not including the weekend, to diagnose an issue that, bc I’ve had this part replaced before, should have been a quick and easy diagnosis. I was also told it would take 5 hours to replace and my car would need programmed. Again, I’ve had this part replaced before and knew that wasn’t the case. You wanted to then charge $1000 for labor when I knew I could get it replaced for $200. I was jerked around, lied to and treated very poorly. I will not be back for service or when I’m ready to purchase a new car.

I scheduled an appointment for Thursday at 9AM, but no one even looked at my vehicle until the following Wednesday. What’s the point of setting an appointment if it's not going to be honored? On top of that, I was charged $180 for a diagnostic, only to be told there were no error codes and that I "probably" have a bad transmission — essentially a guess with no real diagnosis. This experience was extremely disappointing and felt like a waste of time and money. You've lost future service business as well as any chance of selling me a new truck.

The service was fine. The staff was fine. What wasn’t fine to me is that I felt blind-sided and like I was being taken advantage of regarding the services that were being “offered” to me, specifically with the high cost and being up-charged for services I did not need at the time. When going over what was to be done to the car, it was “ We’re going to do x,y,z today and the total will be about $506.” I went in for an oil change, and I had just spent a significant amount of money for my 50,000 mile check-in. I had only driven about 4,000 miles since then. I declined some services and still spent $330 when I was expecting to spend about $100-$120. I did not leave happy. I understand that you all need to make money. I looked up the filters that were used and the up charge for costs here are quite high. I’m most upset that you all framed my “required services” as “necessary” when they truly weren’t. I would have preferred that you be up-front and honest and say “hey, I know we’re doing an oil change. Here’s the cost for that with labor and materials. We are also offering these other services and here’s why.” I felt taken advantage of when I visited this dealership.

I visited Mark Wahlberg Buick GMC on May 27th. At the time, I was still waiting on my total loss payout for my 2018 GMC Terrain and wasn’t quite sure when the funds would arrive. About a week prior, I had sat in a 2026 Terrain at a dealership closer to my home in Delaware, Ohio. Unfortunately, the experience there left a bad taste in my mouth — the sales associate didn’t listen to what I wanted, kept trying to push a Chevy Equinox instead, and even asked if I was married (I'm not). The whole interaction just felt tone-deaf and left me discouraged. That all changed when I came into Mark Wahlberg with my friend and was greeted by Jeff Tucker. I told him what I had been looking at, and he immediately let me test drive — what turned out to be — my future 2026 Terrain. During our conversation, I shared my frustrating experience at the other dealership, and Jeff really listened. That alone left a great impression. As the week went on and things started coming together on the insurance side, I reviewed the dealership contacts I had gathered — and Jeff’s name stood out. The positive experience I had with him, along with the digital DOT card he gave me (seriously, that was a boss move), made it super easy to reach out again when I was finally ready to get serious about the purchase. Out of everyone I had spoken with, Jeff was the only one who actually tried to work with me based on what I wanted. The other dealers barely engaged — some didn’t even try to find something in their inventory. Jeff was straightforward, communicated clearly, and added a personal touch every step of the way. I even sent him a picture of me in a tutu (long story, nothing weird, promise lol), and instead of brushing it off, he shared a personal story that connected with why I was in it. That human moment made a big difference. On May 31st, Jeff and I hit a number that worked for both of us — and funny enough, it ended up being the same car I test-drove the first time around. I had to talk myself into going with a CVT transmission, but Jeff never once pressured me or tried to steer me toward a different vehicle. He respected my process the whole way. Another thing that stood out: when I came to finalize the deal, I still had my rental and was trying to figure out how I’d get back to the dealership after returning it. After we wrapped up the purchase, Jeff told me I could leave my rental at Mark Wahlberg and Enterprise would pick it up Monday. That was such a relief. I didn’t love the rental, and being able to drive away in my brand-new car instead of returning in a cramped sedan meant a lot. That moment really capped off the experience for me. I also want to give a shoutout to John Wilson in finance. I’m 37, and while I’ve owned cars before, this was my first real car negotiation. In the past, I either paid cash or had to take a bad deal on financing with no down payment. So yeah, I was nervous walking into the finance office — especially since my last experience at another GMC dealership made me feel like I should be grateful just to be there. John never made me feel that way. In fact, he went to bat for me when my bank was trying to charge me a fee to pull my funds for the deal. He walked me through the add-ons, explained everything clearly, and gave real, honest advice. At one point, he even suggested I not get GAP coverage through the dealership since I wasn’t financing with them and instead said to get it through my bank. Not trying to drop a dime on John or anything — just being real. That kind of honesty and transparency built serious trust, and because of that, I was more open to upgrading the warranty I chose. That says a lot. Look — I get that Mark Wahlberg Buick GMC is a business, and at the end of the day, businesses have to make money. But how you make that money makes all the difference. Not once did I feel pressured, misled, or pushed into something I didn’t need. This was, hands down, the best car-buying experience I’ve ever had. When friends or family are in the market for a vehicle, I’ll be singing the praises of Mark Wahlberg Buick GMC. Thank you again for helping me buy my first brand-new car. It’s a big milestone — and you made it an amazing one.

Vehicle was brought in to address transmission concerns, after some back and forth with both dealership service and the warranty company, I got my transmission replaced and vehicle retuned 28 days later. Communication was okay, however it was very difficult to call the service department - you have to wait for them to call you.

Paid 180 dollars to be informed of any additional issues. Only to be told everything is fine. Three days later I have a check engine light on my dash and my wheel sounds like it is still grinding. Possibly due to a bad wheel and hub bearing. Had this dealership repair my driver side window about a year and a half ago. And it has failed. My trust with y'all has dropped greatly. I will give credit that y'all took care of my power steering issue. I just wish y'all could have found the other problems. So I could have gotten them resolved the first time when I brought in my vehicle.

Worst experience I’ve ever had getting my car serviced. I dropped it off at the dealership on 8/29. By 9/3 I hadn’t heard anything about it so I called, phone rang for 5 mins and nobody answered. On 9/4 I called back, when somebody finally answered I was immediately placed on hold and passed around to 3 or 4 different people until I actually talked to someone. Come to find out you had my car for a week and nothing was done to it. Didn’t get my car back until 9/9. No one bothered to call me in all that time with an update, I had to initiate every conversation. Honestly if this is the kind of service I can expect, I’ll find somewhere else to go.

I brought my Sierra in for 2 recalls and tire rotation and balance. I left it and got a ride home because I was told that it could take all day for the recall work. Lenny your service writer was great to work with and very pleasant. To my surprise Lenny called me a couple hours later and said my truck was finished and that it passed the recall checks. I was pleasantly surprised that the shop got my work completed so quickly.

it was good, but with that said, it took over 2 hours to get four tires, i thought that was a little long. also, i think if you purchase 4 tires, you should get a deal on the mounting and balancing. paying over $900 for tires, when you get the 4th for a $1 is expensive

The salesman who greeted me in the parking lot, Dave Weitzel, had only been there for a week. I was totally impressed by his fellow salesmen who came by his desk and volunteered to help him navigate the system and offer help wherever needed. One salesman even came over to help set up the GMC app on my smart phone. Then there was Antoine (not sure of the spelling) that worked to find discounts to keep my monthly payment within my budget. The finance employee, Mark, found a work around when my debit card denied my deposit amount because it was over my daily limit and my bank was experiencing computer problems and not having any luck in raising my daily limit. All in all, I felt like I was being treated like a member of a very tight knit family!

The service representative was able to tell me quickly (7:30 am) that four tires needed to be replaced because of the age (one had a screw or nail causing a leak) and that it would be best for me to be shuttled because the tires would arrive much later in the day. The shuttle ride to and from were excellent. I was given an update that the tires would arrive later in the afternoon, then contacted when the shuttle was available. All other requested services were completed.

The radio problem has not been as frequent, but it still exists. There are times when I get in my truck and there is no sound to anything, even the turn signals. I'll drive for whatever period of time in pure silence, get out of vehicle for 5-10 mins, get back in/turn it on and the sound works again. No idea.

I called Mark Wahlberg to inquire about two Buicks I saw online and a manager forwarded me to a salesperson named Shenita "Nina" Smith. It didn't take me long to realize I had a very competent salesperson. Shenita went above and beyond all I could have asked for. She answered every question, returned calls promptly, went to another town to pick up my car and personally drove it to Columbus while texting me a picture of the odometer when she left for Columbus and the odometer when she arrived in Columbus. I always felt Nina had my best interest at heart. When she found out that I had a sensitivity to smells, she made sure no one had smoked in the car I was purchasing and told me she would not be wearing perfume when she drove my car and when we met to close the sale. She, also, talked to the Service Department to make sure they did not clean my car with strong smelling cleaning products. I talked to two other representatives during the new car negotiations who were very courteous, kind and knowledgeable. Arriving to the dealership to get my oil change, I was greeted. Everything was good. I talked to the service writer about my def fluid letting him know I have some points buildup through my GMC rewards and I would like them to top off my fluid. He said being it was my first service I would get it topped off for no charge. The service went well after picking up my vehicle. I had already left and was on the other side of town and noticed no one topped off the fluid it was still under half.

I despise buying a new car. Being a woman walking into a dealership, which is usually male dominated is also not enjoyable. I feel like I have to walk in with a chip on my shoulder so they know I’m not going to fall for the “sales pitch”. With Mark Whalburg GMC I started on the phone and got connected with Shenita. She gave me a quote within five minutes! When I informed her it was more than I wanted to spend, she immediately came up with alternatives. In addition to this, Danny, the general sales manager called me personally to see what he could do to help. Both Shenita and Danny were extremely personable, very friendly, likeable, and not the typical cheesy, pushy sales people. They sent me all the links and paperwork that I needed to take care of online and when we arrived at the dealership, we were in and out in an hour and 15 minutes. The best car buying experience I’ve ever had. I will add that being summoned to the finance person’s office was the least enjoyable part. We were so happy with Shenita and Danny and how laid back but still professional they were. This guy went immediately into pushing the additional warranties and gap insurance. I assume this is his job and the dealership makes $ on these but the pitch was so rehearsed and off putting. We said no three times but he kept pushing. On the fourth no he was obviously mad and was the low point of our experience. Thankfully, we ended on a good note with Shenita going over the vehicle features.

My granddaughter bought a suv over a year ago. She had it in the service dept. twice. Tell me why a new battery cost 500 dollars?? And is not covered under warranty . So it wouldn’t have voided her warranty. She’s 21 years old. If what your service dept. does or why they would scam a young woman out of that kind of money. But that’s the last straw for me. Her name is Sarah Conley and I co signed for her SUV.. my name is Anita Conley. I highly suggest you get with your service dept. and do whatever.. it’s a good thing I wasn’t with her when she brought it in or picked it up. So ridiculous and I haven’t made my mind up to made a review or not.

Was a little discouraged to hear the parts have not been upgraded yet, These parts will fail again unless action is taken to perform the upgrade. The experience here is one of a kind. Shenita makes me feel like family and made my buying experience one of a kind. The service that I had done was under warranty, but what I liked the most was the communication of the vehicle status. I was told after the diagnosis was complete, what the issue was, and when the part was coming in to be put on. Once my truck was finished, I was called and told it was ready to go.
