Meet the 2022 GMC Canyon

1. Exterior and Interior

Your new Canyon comes in Denali, AT4, Elevation, and Elevation Standard trim configurations. Depending on the trim, your Canyon gets features like red or blue recovery front hooks, a spray-on bed liner, five-inch rectangular chrome assist steps, LED fog lamps, and gloss-black exhaust tips. It also offers thrilling exterior color paint options, including summit white, satin steel metallic, desert sand metallic, dynamic blue metallic, and onyx black.

The all-new Canyon seats four in its Extended Cab configuration and five in the Crew Cab design. Interior comfort features are leather-appointed front seats, six- or four-way power driver adjustable seats, power driver lumbar control, and heated front seats.

2. Powertrain Options

Under the hood, you have three engine options to select from. There’s a 2.5-liter Inline-4 that works with a rear-wheel drive to produce 200 hp and 191-pound feet of torque. A 3.6-liter V6 gas engine with either rear- or 4-wheel drive outputs 308 hp and 275-pound feet of torque. The 2.8-liter Duramax turbodiesel Inline-4 works with rear- or 4-wheel drive to deliver 181 hp and 369-pound feet of torque.

The turbodiesel and 4-cylinder powerplants use a six-speed automatic transmission, while the V6 engine uses an eight-speed automatic transmission. Canyon’s maximum towing capacity is 7,700 pounds.

3. Infotainment and Connectivity

The newest Canyon works hard to keep you entertained while on the road. Standard infotainment and connectivity features are a 7-inch display, compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, satellite radio, two USB ports, and a 6-speaker stereo.

High-end trims offer an 8-inch display system, navigation, a wireless charging pad, two extra USB ports, and a 7-speaker stereo.

4. Safety Features

Safety is a top priority for GMC vehicles, and the ’22 Canyon is no different. It offers features like a rearview camera, tire pressure monitoring system, and StabiliTrak with Electronic Stability Control. Teen Driver allows you to set audio volume and speed restrictions for secondary drivers.

The available forward collision warning informs you of an impending crash with a slowly moving or stationary car in front. The lane departure warning warns the driver when the vehicle starts moving from its lane on freeways and arterial roads.

Your 2022 Canyon is ready to take you anywhere you wish to explore. It has a quiet cabin at highway speeds and can easily accommodate bulky cargo, thanks to the high bedsides and standard tie-down cleats. Visit us at Mark Wahlberg Buick GMC of Columbus to choose your favorite Canyon trim.
